	Boulevard Magazine Fall 2017 issue. Article on page 92 I was very pleased to be interviewed by the editor of the magazine "SALT", here is the article in their Fall/Winter 2014 magazine, emphasizing my focus on freedom of expression. Cover of the spring 2014 edition of Canadian Journal of Rural Medicine, was the piece called "Forest Pattern Number 5" I was approached by the University of Ottawa Press to use the detail of my painting "Crossroads" as cover illustration for their book, "Translating Canada"
Biography:
	I was born in a small village in East Germany and immigrated to Canada at age seven with my mother and grandmother. Being an only child and not speaking English, drawing was my retreat. Drawing and painting became an ardent passion. Financially unable to pursue art as a career and my mother terminally ill, I trained as a registered nurse at the University of Saskatchewan. Marriage soon followed and my husband and I were blessed with 2 beautiful daughters. As Time permitted, I took art classes, learned from workshops and studied the works of world class artists. Experimenting, I explored different mediums and styles for making marks on canvas. My desire to create continued to intensify and since the year 2000 I have been painting full time realizing a life long dream.In 2009 I earned my AFCA with the Federation of Canadian Artists. With the creative urge God has given me, I am constantly motivated and challenged. Abstracted images and pure abstraction has given me great liberty in expressing myself and expanding my boundaries. It is very gratifying to have my works in numerous collections in Canada and Abroad.
